As a person who genuinely dreads the dentist, I'm so thrilled to have found tend. The staff is great at easing anxiety, and didn't make me feel judged at all. Gorgeous, clean space, basically zero wait time, and the option to watch a show with noise cancelling headphones during the cleaning was absolutely amazing. thank you! Because of my absolute hatred of the dentist, it had admittedly been a few years since I’d had a cleaning and they found a decent number of cavities they will have to fill but they were so nice and chill about the whole thing and didn’t make me feel embarrassed about the number of fillings I was going to need to get. When I came in, the team was so gentle with my cleaning and I never felt judged. I didnt get flossed shamed and when it came time to review my teeth, the dentist took the time to show me my xrays, where my cavity was (no dentist has ever done this for me) which I really appreciated. Not super satisfied with my experience at Tend. I was given a treatment plan that felt a little aggressive, and I got a pair of fillings that left my face swollen for almost a week from the numbing injection. Went somewhere else for a second opinion, and was told that some of the teeth that Tend told me needed to be filled hadn't progressed far enough that they needed any work done yet. Not dishonest, but just slightly more aggressive than was necessary. My dentist was very nice and seemed to genuinely care about my care, but after getting a second opinion I won't be coming back. That being said the receptionists and hygienists at Tend are all super friendly and seem like great people.

Do not visit this dental office. I urge you to find another dentist to save yourself the headache. Although the office itself is beautiful and modern, everything else about it is terrible. The front desk receptionists (Dawn and Alicia) are incredibly rude and incompetent. They don’t complete simple tasks like emailing doctors notes and when you follow up they get combative. The hygienist also did a poor job during my cleaning. I ended up paying out of pocket for a cleaning somewhere else because my insurance only covers 2 annually. Furthermore, the dentist lied to me about the medical work I needed and recommended a more extensive procedure that another dentist said I did not need. I noticed another comment about being double billed. As a newcomer to the area, I attributed the high out-of-pocket expenses to the higher cost of living in DC. However, after reading that review, I took the initiative to contact my insurance company. It turns out that the office has been overcharging me for procedures that my insurance should cover.

At checkin everything was quick and easy. They offered me a tooth brush and tooth paste if I wanted to clean quickly before being seen. The space was clean and the hygienist Ebony was really friendly. Went in for a routine cleaning and they offered headphones and a tv on the ceiling played an animal documentary. After the cleaning I enjoyed being able to review my X-rays right on the screen in front of me with the Dentist. Overall a great experience

I was immediately greeted with a smile and felt so welcome at Tend. It was my first time there and Kourtney was so incredibly informative and answered all my questions. I was taken back by Chanel my hygienist, who was not only knowledgeable but very down to earth and made me feel right at ease. I was able to watch a show of my choice, which made the time fly by while she did a phenomenal job with my cleaning and X-rays. Dr. Y did a throughout exam, explained her findings and treatment recommendations. She answered all of my questions and was very approachable. When I left, Dawn and Kourtney greeted me again at the front desk, walked me through the follow up care plan and went above and beyond to ensure my first experience was amazing! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend for others to go as well!

I do not like the kind of information they give you. They say one thing, next appointment is the opposite. I tried to make a reschedule for one of the appointments, and the receptionist hang the phone and she did not give the opportunity to make the reschedule. She was so rude. This place is not cheap. At least I deserve better customer service. I'm so disappointed.
