Terita Neal1 StarVery unprofessional office I’ve work in pediatric and general and never experienced what I did today. My granddaughter had an appointment at 12p.m. On 5/26/22 when we got there it was too many from desk they had good out very unprofessional for a dental office. When they answer the phones they don’t sound polite they don’t say the business name they just say hello! Very poor customer service. My granddaughter was getting a cleaning they hygienist didn’t even speak or introduce herself very unprofessional she cleaned my granddaughter teeth in less than 5 minutes never seen that happen then the doctor came didn’t introduce himself at that very moment I knew I would never return he only examined the teeth that he saw cavities on and that was a poor examine but quick to put a crown on kids teeth that office is for the Hispanics not that I’m racist but they don’t explain both to you glad I knew how to look at the X-ray and understand what I was looking at because I am a dental assistant needless to say he showed no other concern or care for my granddaughter teeth then when checking out I’m telling the from desk that I need the treatment plan she acted like she didn’t know what she was doing I eventually told her don’t bother and left that office need experienced front desk that knows what they are doing and people that care about the kids well beingThursday 26th May 2022
Robert Harscheid1 StarDo NOT attend this dentist! They set an appointment with you but only have a hygienist clean the teeth and do not actually have the dentist see the child "unless something is wrong" (this is a quote from their office). We went on 3 visits without seeing a dentist because they kept telling us the dentist would see our daughter the next time. We finally changed to a GREAT dentist (Dr. Dana Greenwald) and they were shocked the actual dentist had not seen our child in so long despite us setting regular appointments. Sadly, Kiddie Cavity Care missed some significant dental issues, which could have been prevented if caught earlier by a dentist actually seeing our child. All the staff we have encountered were nice but the practice is incompetent.Wednesday 17th February 2016
Terrie marshall1 StarAs of 2022 dr Altmon is no longer in office at this location, I personally would rate them at about a 1. The doctor is a little unprofessional and they have so many ppl in the office at the same time. Also does not work well with children with special needs and have very little patients. I don’t even understand why he’s a Childrens dentistThursday 13th October 2022
Luz Ventura5 StarHonestly I was worried to schedule an appointment due to the reviews however my son's experience was AMAZING! I want to thank Cynthia for her utmost professional customer service. Cynthia provided all forms via email prior to my sons appointment. Thank you!!!Tuesday 16th October 2018
Gemma and Russ Sage1 StarShort story: they do not detect cavities and they use sedation for fillings. No other dentist I talked to would sedate children for a cavity filling, barring ADHD or other condition. Please think twice about taking your children here!
Long story: I have had a pretty good experience here with my 3 older kids until recently. A few months ago, we went for a cleaning. My 10-year-old had actually found a cavity on my 7-year-old. The dental hygienist did not see it and needed our help to locate it! The dentist was not even there to do an exam following the cleanings. I scheduled an appointment to have the cavity filled months in advance. We planned our summer travel around this appointment. I then received a call about 4 days prior to the appointment saying that it needed to be rescheduled because the other dentist (Dr Thompson) did not feel comfortable sedating one of Dr Altman’s patients! Sedation for a filling?! No other dentist I talked to does this. I would be extremely wary of any dentist sedating for a cavity filling unless the child has ADHD or another condition that makes sitting still impossible. I asked for Dr Altman to please call me to discuss this practice because this was the first I had heard of any sedation. He did not even call me. I am extremely concerned that this practice sees so many children and sedates them for a simple cavity filling! In my opinion and from what I have heard from other dentists, it is unnecessary and irresponsible. Please reconsider before getting your childrens’ cavities filled here! (They are also not great about detecting cavities either!)Monday 17th June 2019
