Aree Plunkett5 StarThis is the best eye exam in the DC area. Low wait time for appointments, and to be seen the office. You can also walk in if you have a prescription to receive glasses. The selection for insurance paid frames are stylish. The best part of this place is the Customer Service by Darnell the manager and his staff. Darnell sets the tone in his office for exceptional customer service and a professional work environment. Service ages 20 and under for exams but any age can get glasses if you have your own prescription.Friday 6th December 2024
Gloria Norman-Okojie5 StarThis was my first time taking my grandsons to this Adventure Dental in this area. All of the staff was so awesome. I had two visit with 3 out of 6 of my grandsons and each visit was wonderful. The staff was so caring and concerned. I will be taking 2 more grandsons next week, and we are looking forward to it. Margda Pierre2 StarThis place is not equipped to handle or cater to children who are medically fragile and have special needs. I took my son there for the first time, and it was clear they were not accustomed to serving children like him.
The dentist took a long time to attend to us, and when she finally did, she seemed hesitant and afraid to clean his teeth. Her assistant then sprayed water into his mouth, despite knowing that my son is NPO (nothing by mouth). Thankfully, my son didn’t choke. In my previous experiences, dentists and assistants would use a wet gauze to gently wipe his mouth, which was much safer and more appropriate.
Another issue was their lack of understanding regarding my son’s insurance. Shortly after the appointment, I received a letter stating that the claim for dental services had been denied.
This place also offers eyeglass services, so I decided to have my son’s glasses filled there as well. Unfortunately, that process was equally frustrating. The staff seemed unknowledgeable, and despite my son’s appointment being on 10/4/24, it is now 12/5/24, and we are still without glasses.
This facility clearly needs significant improvements. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, as this is not the right place for us.Thursday 5th December 2024
LaShae Birt4 StarKid friendly establishment. When I first walked in all staff was on phone and/or distracted with other things so I waited a few minutes to be checked in. Facility overall clean but waiting room furniture was worn out. Came 15 mins early and waited 15 mins after scheduled appointment to be seen. Techs were nice and helpful.
